1.316L mod is modified 316L, which is the American AIS I standard grade, urea grade ultra-low carbon stainless steel. It is an improved 316L, austenitic-ferritic duplex stainless steel, specially used in the urea industry, so it is called urea grade 316L.

Because of its excellent resistance to welding hot cracks and resistance to intergranular corrosion, it is often used as a high-pressure pipeline material for petrochemical urea plants.

The difference between 316Lmod and 316L

316L mod is modified 316L, modified 316L, specially used in the urea industry, so it is called urea grade 316L. The main difference from 316L is the chemical composition.

The chemical composition of 316mod and 316L is not very different. 316mod must pass the Huey test. During the 48-hour boiling corrosion test period, the corrosion value of 5 samples shall not be less than 0.54gr/m2hr (3.3 microns/48 hours) ).
