1. S31254 W.Nr.1.4547 plate sheet coil strip Grade Designation :

254 SMO is an austenitic stainless steel designed for superior pitting and crevice corrosion. 254SMO is ideal for high-chloride environments because of its high levels of chromium, molybdenum, and nitrogen. UNS S31254 is often used where 316L or 317L has failed. 254 SMO is significantly stronger than the common austenitic grades, and it is also characterized by high ductility and impact strength.

 

High Corrosion Resistant 254SMO steel plate are known for their exceptional resistance to oxidation and corrosion in highly aggressive environments. It is an ideal material for use in a wide range of corrosive environments, including chemical processing plants, power generation facilities, tank farms, and desalination plants. Unlike other steel materials, these alloys are resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, and intergranular corrosion, making them suitable for use in harsh chemical environments.
